Giving at Work

Texas Humane Heroes receives generous support each year from individuals who give to our organization through the workplace. We are truly grateful and honored to have the support of those who participate in their employers’ workplace giving programs.

Here are some ways you can help us at work. We encourage you to take advantage of the wonderful and simple opportunities to help Texas Humane Heroes save more lives!

Did you know many companies offer a Matching Gift Program to encourage philanthropy among their employees? And that some companies will even match to spouses and retirees?

By simply completing a matching gift form (on-line or paper), you may be able to double, or even triple, the impact of your gift! Contributions of any amount help Texas Humane Heroes save and care for homeless animals throughout our community. Contact your company’s Human Resources department to see if your company offers a matching gift program.

If your company has a qualifying program, request a matching gift form from your employer or access the form through their website. You can either make your donation to Texas Humane Heroes online or send us a check through the mail.

Then send your completed and signed form, along with your check or a copy of your online donation receipt, to:

Texas Humane Heroes (formerly known as the Humane Society of Williamson County and CenTex Humane Society) is a public charity classified as exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Many workplaces – including private companies, military organizations, and the government – coordinate charitable giving campaigns for their employees. These campaigns allow employees to donate to charities of their choice through one-time gifts or regular payroll deductions. Many of these campaigns take place in the fall, and they are a great way to contribute to Texas Humane Heroes.

Federal Employees

If you are a federal employee, please keep in mind that you can give to Texas Humane Heroes through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which runs from September through December each year. Whether you donate $1, $10 or more per paycheck, or make a one-time donation, your contribution will go a long way in helping us save animals’ lives in our community. Our CFC number is 53331.

State Employees

In addition to the CFC, Texas Humane Heroes participates in the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) for the state of Texas employees. Our SECC charity code is 228145.

Private Company Employees

Check with your payroll administrator to see if the Texas Humane Heroes is on your company’s list of approved charities in your workplace contribution campaign. If we are not listed, ask if you can write us in or have us added to the list.

Here is some information that will help you put us on your company’s list of approved charities:

Full Legal Name: Humane Heroes, Inc (dba – Texas Humane Heroes)
Address: 10930 E Crystal Falls Pkwy, Leander, TX 78641

Company Grants for Volunteer Time

Some companies will give grants to organizations where their employees volunteer. Ask your Human Resources department or Community Relations department if this is available at your company and how you can go about taking advantage of this great way to help Texas Humane Heroes even more.
