Well hi! Nice to meet you, I’m Marley! I’m a playful, energetic, 8-month old who is looking for a family that I can make the most of every day with! I’m a little shy at first, but I LOVE attention, so I’m sure we can overcome that shyness quickly!
You may have seen my video where I’m playing around with my buddy Finnick – as you can see, we enjoy “ruff-housing,” but we do pretty well at understanding each other’s limits! I like playing with other dogs, but they not only have to be able to keep up with my energy, but also know how to give me feedback if I start crossing a line. I’m still a pup, so I’m definitely still learning what is okay and what is not!
Speaking of learning, I’ve been working on my leash manners. I just really love playing with toys, so to me the leash looks like you want to play tug-o-war! But! Like I said, I’ve been working with the humans here, and I’m starting to understand the difference between “play time” and “walk time.” Having lots of toys around the house will definitely help me entertain myself and keep me busy!
I definitely wouldn’t mind going to a trainer! My young mind is eager to learn, and I would love to work with you to better understand how you would like me to act.
I get along with almost everyone, but it is important to know because I am high energy and can get overly excitable, older kids or teenagers would probably have an easier time handling me than little youngins!
Well, I think that’s all I have to say for now! You should definitely come meet me, Marley, at the Texas Humane Heroes Killeen Adoption Center! We can run around in the yard and snuggle!
