Ready Fur Love: Glynne’s Dating Story

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! From all of us at Texas Humane Heroes, we want to take a moment to say thank you to all of our supporters, adopters, and donors. Your love for helping homeless dogs and cats is what’s taking our organization to new heights each year. We truly wouldn’t be here without you! This Thanksgiving we have a fantastic girl who has so much to be thankful for this year, and is hoping to have even more at the end of this interview. Meet Glynne, a two year old Boxer mix who has found herself is a not so opportune situation, but still has a smile on her face and is thankful everyday for what she has and what’s to come.

While Glynne is currently without a family, she is thankful for the second chance she was given to find one. She knows without this second chance, there’s a possibility that she may not have been given one at all. She is now taking a new lease on life and learning so many new things that are only going to make her life better! Meet Glynne!

I’m very thankful for my second chance to find a family. Not many pets get that chance to find their forever but I was given mine and am so thankful for it! I’m also thankful for the people who take care of me right now. They are teaching me so many things that’s really helping me be more comfortable with my surroundings. When I first arrived, being around other dogs was very stressful. I’m now learning to be more comfortable with my surroundings and that I can always look to my handler if I am feeling uncomfortable.

What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving?

The food of course! All year I’m dreaming of my pup-friendly plate of Thanksgiving food of turkey, masked regular and sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and just a little bit of gravy to top it all off. I’m drooling just thinking of it. I also love the happiness and love that everyone shows to one another. I can’t wait to be in a warm home, gathered around the table laughing and sharing stories and just appreciating one another. That’s what family is, right?

What do you want your new family to know about you?

I want them to know how much love I have to give them. I’m sweet, playful, and committed to my forever family. I have a willingness to learn to be the best I can be. Don’t pass on me ‘cause I know we are perfect together!
