What are you looking for in a man or woman?
“I am hoping to find someone who is fun and loves the great outdoors! We can go to parks, play fetch, go for a swim or a bike ride- the adventures are endless! I am also looking for a best friend, someone I can talk to about my days and listen while they tell me about theirs. I make a great listener and I give great hugs and licks. I will be your shoulder to cry on and your partner-in-crime for days on the town! I do enjoy special treats, chew toys, and most of all bones, so someone who gives a lot of those to me will have my heart forever.
The animal doctor said that I have something called ‘heartworms.’ It sounded scary at first but the doctor told me I will be just fine and it’s nothing to be scared of. All I need is a loving home to relax in while my medicine does its work. And I’m told that Texas Humane Heroes is going to pay to make me feel better! So I hope to find someone who will open their heart to save mine.”
What do you think the best way to get to know someone is?
“I think a casual stroll is a great way of getting to know someone. If there is a whole family, bring everyone, including your other doggie friends! We can all walk and talk and learn about one another. I must warn you though, I am a strong girl. I take pride in my physique and sometimes I don’t know my own strength. I may pull on the leash but I just need some reminding to slow it down and to appreciate the moment!”
What is your motto for life?
“‘You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.’ Someone told that to me and said a lady named Mae West said that. I can’t wait to start living again and to have someone or (some-many) to love me for the rest of my life.”
