Hello, my name is Nancy. I am 3 ½ years old and one of the two cats left from the hoarding case last November. I’m still learning that humans aren’t that scary, and I have learned to take care of myself, so I am not what they call a “cuddle bug.”
My ideal day is spent lounging around, usually elevated somewhere, like the top of a cat tree or on a window seal. I can sleep all day long, but the humans here say that I can be vocal when I get hungry, something they call an “endearing quality.” I also like treats quite a bit! When we start to build trust with one another, I definitely suggest giving me a reward when I do something that pleases you, or you can just give me a treat because I am very beautiful and I don’t cause trouble.
I get nervous when humans make quick movements, so I would fit best in a home that does not have children – they are too active for me and just don’t think before trying to pet me. I don’t mind living with other cats, though. In fact, I am living with one right now. They learn quickly that I am the boss of our living quarters!
If you could use a living companion and I sound like I would be a good fit for your home, please come and visit me. Like I said, I am still adjusting to the fact that humans can be nice, so please be patient with me and move slowly.
