Hello HEROES – Happy June
Mid-Year Review
Hi *{{First Name}}*,
Halfway Through 2025 — and Look What You’ve Made Possible!
As we wrap up June and head into the second half of the year, we’re celebrating the incredible impact you’ve helped make so far in 2025. Thanks to your support, we’ve already:
- Administered 5,201 vaccines
- Completed 2,635 spay/neuter surgeries
- Found homes for 561 cats
- Adopted out 406 dogs
That’s thousands of lives touched—and it’s only June! Whether you donated, adopted, volunteered, or simply shared a post, you’ve played a role in every one of these numbers. Thank you for helping us build a more compassionate Texas for pets and the people who love them.

June Dog of the Month:
It’s Rory Elouise—If You Please!
At just five months old, Rory Elouise has already overcome incredible odds. Not long after arriving at Texas Humane Heroes, she suffered a rare reaction to a vaccine that left her unable to walk.
Thanks to months of care from our low-cost vet clinic, Rory slowly regained her strength. Today, she’s back on her paws—running, playing, and snuggling anyone who’ll let her.
Her journey is a powerful reminder of the difference compassion makes.
June Cat of the Month:
Antonia – A Blind Cat with a Boundless Heart
Nine-month-old Antonia is adjusting to life as a blind cat, but her sweet spirit hasn’t changed a bit.
She came to Texas Humane Heroes after giving birth to two kittens, already suffering from an eye infection. The strain of pregnancy and labor caused it to worsen and spread—leaving her in pain. For her comfort and quality of life, both eyes had to be removed.
Despite it all, Antonia has remained gentle, loving, and resilient. Her kittens have found homes—now it’s her turn. She’s looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom.

☀️TIPS: Keep Pets Safe This Summer +
Help Prevent Lost Pets This July
Summer heat and holiday excitement can be dangerous for furry companions. As temperatures rise, so do the risks—but with a little planning, you can keep them safe, cool, and by your side.
Beat the Heat: Even short exposure to extreme temperatures can put pets at risk of heatstroke. Never leave pets in parked cars, always provide plenty of fresh water, and limit walks to cooler parts of the day. Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting, drooling, or lethargy.
July Is National Lost Pet Prevention Month: Fireworks, open gates, and new surroundings can quickly turn into panic for pets. Microchipping, secure collars with updated ID tags, and keeping pets indoors during loud events are simple steps that can make all the difference. If your pet isn’t chipped yet, now’s the perfect time!
Together, we can help make this summer safer for every pet—yours, your neighbor’s, and the ones waiting for forever homes.
