The weather may (finally) be cooling down, but things are just heating up at Texas Humane Heroes — because our Chili Cook-Off is right around the corner! On November 8th, join us for a day full of chili tastings, vendors, auctions, and fun for the whole family, all in support of pets looking for a second chance at love.

Dolly’s Road to Healing
|

|
Last week, Dolly was living on the streets when tragedy struck. A good Samaritan, Kelsey Shoemake, saw her hit by a car and rushed her to Hill Country Animal Hospital.
Dolly’s injuries were severe — a shattered pelvis requiring specialized surgery, plus a pellet from a past gunshot wound lodged inside her body. She could not walk and needed round-the-clock care.
Yesterday, Dolly’s surgery was a success! Thanks to donor like you, Dr. Key with Mobile Vet Services, was able to perform the highly specialized surgery. She is now resting comfortably in a foster home and receiving all the care she needs to heal.

Ariel’s looking to be part of your world!

This six-year-old sweetheart is a great, big cuddle bug who’s currently on a weight loss journey – so soon she’ll be a regular-sized cuddle bug. She likes to hang out in her little corner and asses the situation, but does saunter out frequently in search of attention. When she does, she gladly accepts all forms of attention, including playtime, snuggling, and even being brushed.

Keeping pets healthy isn’t just about vaccines — regular vet tech checks can catch issues early, prevent illness, and keep your furry friends happy and thriving.
Now you can schedule a Vet Tech Check during the week to receive your animal’s vaccinations. Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, our supervised vet tech team will administer vaccines and tests. Click HERE to save your spot!
