I need to surrender my pet — can I bring it to you?

A Did you adopt the pet from TXHH? Then, yes!

– If it has been less than 30 days from adoption, you may return the animal to TXHH within thirty (30) days of adoption by appointment only. To schedule a return appointment, please email surrender@txhh.org. No surrender fee will be charged; however, adoption fees are non-refundable.

– After 30 days, any returned animal will be processed as an Owner Surrender. The Adopter must schedule an appointment with the Owner Surrender Team by emailing surrender@txhh.org. The following surrender fees apply:
• $250 for canines
• $150 for felines

B If you did not adopt the pet from Texas Humane Heroes, unfortunately no. Texas Humane Heroes is not an open intake facility. TXHH gets all of our animals from shelters throughout Texas that are often forced to euthanize for space. Please contact your local intake shelter.
