Ready Fur Love: Wizard’s Dating Story

Meet Wizard! Wizard is a sweet boy that loves to play outside. If he were human, he’d be very athletic and an all star player! He’s a little shy but he’s definitely the boy next door. He can hang all day with the dudes at the park, and is a real charmer with the ladies. Wizard was the unlucky pick to a mosquito who carried the heartworms parasite. But don’t worry, it isn’t contagious to humans or any other animal. And the best part is, the kind folks at Texas Humane Heroes will pay for his whole treatment! All he needs is a home willing to foster him (and hopefully adopt after the treatment!) and give him some extra TLC to get that heart of his all fixed and ready to give to you!

During treatment he will need a calm home to relax in, and what better way to get to know someone than by loungin’ on the couch, talking the night away!  Wizard will gladly take the opportunity to learn about you and his new surroundings. Then, when he is better, he can spend all day and night playing with his new best friend, or friends! Those long legs of his will have him racing to your heart in no time! Will it be you to mend his broken heart in more ways than just one? Meet Wizard!

What’s your favorite way to spend a Saturday?

“I love going to the park to run and play! I get along well with other dogs and hope that there will be some to make new friends with! On a nice, sunny day, I will never pass up the chance to play fetch and enjoy the sunshine with some friends and most of all, my family!”

You’ve just won a lifetime achievement award. What did you do?

“Some people tell me I could win an award for being the sweetest and most charming boy. I don’t know about all that but it does make me feel good and say, ‘Aw, shucks!’ I think, if I won an award, it would be for turning someone’s bad day, into a good one. I don’t like seeing people sad and I’m really good at licking the tears away and taking your mind off the negative things in life. I will always be there for my family for the rest of my life.

What’s your biggest motivation?

“My biggest motivation is knowing there is the perfect family out there waiting for me to be with them forever. I will always be there when they need me, and I hope I can spend the rest of my days with them, having lots of fun together and creating lots of memories. I will be patiently waiting for my family to find me but it should would be nice if they picked up the step a little bit!”
