It’s our favorite day of the week– Pack Pride!
If you walk through the doors of our Leander Adoption Center, you might not see Victoria Hale, but her behind the scenes work is what keeps our animals thriving. Victoria and her husband moved to the area last summer and she’s been part of the TXHH pack since September. Starting on the intake team and then making her way over to vet technician two months later, Victoria spends her days here tending to sick animals, helping with our low cost spay/neuter clinics, and constantly working to make sure all of our animals are in prime condition.
Victoria has a magnetic personality, and brings a vibrant energy to our team. She works long days without complaints and always puts the animals first. Her current favorite animals are Bruno (who was adopted last week), Chippy, and Fedora. She grew up as the second oldest of six children and always had pets when she was younger. Now, her and her husband have two cats who are littermates, Commodus and Lucilla, along with a 6 month old puppy named Ruby that she adopted from Texas Humane Heroes in February. She had actually seen Ruby as a newborn when she first came into our program. Ruby was in foster a couple months, but Victoria had her eye on her since her personality reminded her a lot of her previous dog. After Ruby, then Crouton was available for adoption. Victoria adopted her and the rest is history.
When she isn’t here saving animal lives, she spends her time with her husband and dog camping, hiking, and soaking in the sun. She has six nieces and nephews whom she adores very much and loves spending time with. Her favorite Austin area exclusive restaurant is P.Terry’s, favorite movie theatre treat is mixing her popcorn with hot tamales (hmmm…) and favorite TV show is The Office (Amen!!).
When she was in school, she always knew she wanted to work for a non-profit. We are so fortunate to have her working here as part of our pack at Texas Humane Heroes and impacting the lives of all the animals and people she comes in contact with. Thank you for working so hard behind the scenes!
