Ready Fur Love: Einstein’s Dating Story

We have one smart cookie to introduce you to today. You could even say he’s a real Einstein! Einstein is a handsome boy with a lot of brains in that noggin of his. Not only is he smart, but he’s tall, dark, and handsome, too! Einstein is the true boy next door. He is happy, loving, and loves to be outside to play fetch. Nothing beats a sunny day running after his favorite toys and even splashing around in the pool to cool off. While most dogs enjoy putting up a fight before giving you the ball to throw again, Einstein would rather get straight to the point of the game and will drop it at your feet. He walks well on a leash and even knows ‘sit’.

Einstein is a very special dog. He can be fearful of strangers and may bark and seem unapproachable when you first see him. Do let this defer you from meeting a great dog. Being new to Texas Humane Heroes, the environment can be stressful with all the barking and strangers coming up.  Einstein is looking for someone to show compassion and a willingness to meet him in a friendly way. Possibly one with treats? Come meet him and you will see what you’ve been missing all along! Meet Einstein!

Tell us a little about yourself.

“Well, I love to play. I love to run as fast as I can to chase a tennis ball. If I’m playing with a rope toy, I love to toss it around in the air and leap up for them. Mostly I just like the feeling of flying through the air. I get scared meeting new people sometimes. Now, I am beginning to realize that humans are nice and will even give you delicious treats! I hope my family is willing to take the time to get to know me. I know I can be exactly what they want in a dog once they see who I am!”

What are you looking for in a new family?

“I’m looking for a family that is okay with slow introductions and understands not everyone is super outgoing right away. I also hope that they love to be outside. I would really like to go on hikes through the forests or take trips to the lake. As long as they like to have fun, that’s the main thing.”

What are your lifelong goals?

“My lifelong goals are to find a family that will love me and accept me for who I am for the rest of their life. My goal is to also not be nervous around new people. I want to greet everyone with a big ol’ lick! I think my new family will be able to help me reach that goal in no time.”
