More about Cailey!

Cailey is a stunning girl with beautiful coloring and outstanding markings. At two years of age, she is mature and beyond her puppy antics. She walks nicely on a leash, is reliably house trained and extremely well behaved indoors and outdoors.

Cailey is a calm, self sufficient dog who neither digs nor barks with a moderate need for exercise. She’s friendly with fellow canines of any size, she shares food and toys with dogs and humans alike. Cailey arrived at Texas Humane Heroes with her sister. Her sister was adopted, which left Cailey without her symbiotic partner whom she used to rely on in all circumstances of life. She is a cautious canine who learns to cope now on her own. She attaches hesitantly to humans but once she does, she is the most attentive, loyal and affectionate canine companion anyone could wish for. She currently resides in a foster home and would love to meet interested parties there.

More about the artist instructor:
Kathleen grew up on a small quarter horse ranch in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a full-fledged cowboy daddy. Much of her childhood was spent sketchbook in hand, in the front seat of a ’54 chevy pickup truck at the closest calf roping. Through the windshield of that old truck, she developed a love for the lay of the land, art, and animals.

Her first art instructor’s payment was Nocona cowboy boots, in trade from Dick Bardons, her family-owned sporting goods store. She remembers that child and the discipline of her formal art education.

Teaching others to paint in watercolor is sharing her greatest gift with others.
