Pack Pride: Sophie’s Head Over Heels for Puppies

Pack Pride
Sophie (Center) receiving her brick at our Volunteer Appreciation Event

This week’s Pack Pride highlights a valuable volunteer who we are very fortunate to have as part of our organization. Sophie Sinclair began volunteering at our Killeen Adoption Center back when it was Second Chance Animal Shelter. She has now been volunteering for 11 years. Sophie comes in every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday without fail. The laundry room is her domain! There, she does the laundry, washes dishes, cleans, and organizes, opening up the staff’s time to help customers who come looking for new family members.

Sophie’s favorite part of volunteering is the animals. Every Tuesday, when new animals are brought to the Killeen Adoption Center from the Leander Adoption Center, she is the first to ask if there are puppies and will get them all settled in, sometimes even giving them a bath!

We are very lucky to have a loyal and caring volunteer like Sophie as part of our organization. Next time you visit our Killeen Adoption Center, be sure to say hi to Sophie!
