Growing up, I always wondered what it would be like to be a celebrity. I mean who hasn’t?!?! You get the best clothes, reservations at the best restaurants, trips all over the world and so on.
But in my time as a dog owner, I’ve completely changed my mind. Why?
When you pop out of bed, your dog(s) follows.
When you walk to the other room, your dog(s) follows.
When you’re eating, your dog(s) follows/watches.
When you go the bathroom, your dog(s) follows.
You get the picture.
It’s like having the paparazzi in your home wearing the cutest four-legged costumes possible. They are the puparazzi!!!
While the attention is flattering, going to the bathroom without a fan club is equally desired.
Oh and kissing is no longer an enjoyable moment in our house. How can it be with two dogs either barking, jumping on us or just awkwardly staring at our every move.
On the flip side though, I know they just love us and want to be around us every chance they get. I don’t want to imagine a day when I’m not greeted by their wagging tails and slobbery kisses.
While sometimes I just want to run quickly to escape my entourage, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
