Pack Pride: Misha is Our Behind the Scenes Hero!

Pack Pride

This week’s Pack Pride takes you behind the scenes with a very important employee!

Texas Humane Heroes has been fortunate enough to have Misha Webster in our pack for nearly four and a half years. A Cedar Park Native, Misha has worked in many facets of the organization, starting with both of our intake and adoptions teams, specifically working with cats. After all the documents she has processed over the years, it’s safe to say Misha has mastered the art of paperwork. In 2015, she became our Office Administrator and does more work than anyone realizes. She is truly working behind the scenes, so if you walk through our doors to see our pets or drop off a donation, chances are you won’t see Misha but she is the unsung hero in the office.

One of her favorite parts of working at Texas Humane Heroes is seeing all the new animals, specifically cats, come into our program to find their forever homes. She has one cat at home named Wilson, who is a 22 pound light orange and white cat. In addition to having one cat, Misha is active in the feral cat community, and three times a week she feeds a colony consisting of cats she’s named like Calli Co, Smittens, and Momma.

In her free time, Misha enjoys running and playing Dungeons and Dragons with some friends (including fellow coworkers). Her favorite TV show of all time is Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her absolute favorite food is pizza, especially pizza from Reale’s in central Austin. If you happen to see Misha on her birthday, make sure you have funfetti cake in hand since that is her favorite dessert.

Reflecting back at her years here at Texas Humane Heroes, Misha has too many fond memories to choose a favorite. She does remember specific cats that made an impact on her, and sometimes will run into them at our low-cost vaccination clinic.  If you come to see the animals, you may miss seeing Misha, but know that she is hard at work making sure Texas Humane Heroes is running as smoothly as possible.
