Pack Pride: Jarrah Boreman- Behind the Camera

Pack Pride

Whenever you see a great picture of an adoptable pet or a captured moment from a recent event of ours, you may be seeing the work of our volunteer photographers. Texas Humane Heroes has a handful of people that donate their time and talent to help us reach our goals and one of those photographers is Jarrah Boreman. Jarrah is a professional photographer who has volunteered and been part of our pack for the past eight years.

It all started when she adopted her dog, Precious, from us eight years ago and has been volunteering ever since. She works as a professional wedding photographer and also photographs dogs for the company Rover. Two things she is passionate about are photography and animals, and when she volunteers here with us, her two favorite things are combined. One of her favorite parts of volunteering with us is seeing the dogs she photographed get adopted.

A Leander native, Jarrah grew up here and then attended a university in Colorado (which both of her daughters are attending, as well) and has been back for the last 10 years. She loves visiting her family and friends in Colorado when she isn’t working or volunteering here. She loves watching the show New Girl and her favorite ice cream flavor is Ben and Jerry’s ‘Everything But The…’ (which we all are tempted to try now). Jarrah’s vibrant personality shines through her photos and she is a joy to have around the organization and at our various events. She cheers on the runners at our 5K, dodged the flying golf balls at our charity golf tournament, loves on the dogs she works with, all while taking photos! Thank you for eight years of great pictures and being part of our pack, Jarrah!
